Hi, I'm Aayaan. I'm a high school student at the University of Toronto Schools (UTS) from Toronto, Canada, and this website is a curated collection of my passions, projects, and experiences. Over the past few years, I've dedicated myself to exploring and developing my skills in various fields that inspire me.

From university research to business ventures, here are all the current endeavors I'm working on.


Co-developing a cost-effective, non-invasive, and portable device to monitor intra-ocular pressure (IOP) within glaucoma patients (one of the most prevalent forms of blindness in the world). Product has been independently assessed, validated, and endorsed by doctors from 3 different countries.
Product Patent Pending
Engaging in quantum computing research at the University of Toronto, assisting professors in programming, molecular orbital chemistry, and algorithmic computation.
Working as a cardiac surgeon intern at St. Mike's Hospital by shadowing medical professionals during diagnostic care and surgical procedure preparation.

Developing an interconnected network of autonomous vehicles (AVs), allowing them to seamlessly share sensor data to elevate passenger safety, route efficiency, and spatial awareness.

Extracurriculars
Musical Director
Ran our school's largest production, managing 350+ students after 6 years of gaining experience in tech crews and dance groups.
Karate Black Belt
Having trained for 8 years, I recently earned my black belt in Goju-Ryu, as well as being a instructor in traditional weapons training.
Model UN Secretariat
Following six years of learning and gathering experience, I'm on the Secretariat (leadership) team of the world's oldest and Canada's largest high-school run MUN conference, SOMA.
Global Ideas Institute
4/700 students chosen to represent UTS in the GII conferences, a year-long series of symposiums designed to bring together the most innovative minds across Toronto to tackle the UN's 17 Sustainability Development Goals.
Deca & TA Co-President
I'm on our school's Deca Executive Team, as well as the Founder and President of our school's Target Alpha chapter, another continent-wide business competition.
Future Leaders Network
Founder and President of UTS's largest organization, connecting 160+ students with professors and undergraduates
across various fields of their interest.
Volleyball U18 Provincial Team
I currently play for Pakmen Volleyball's Ontario-wide team, under the coaching of Team Canada's Olympic women's setter.
Physics & Astrophysics Clubs
For the past 2 years, I've delved deeper into my passions by becoming the President of physics club, as well as a co-executive of astrophysics club.

Nation-wide Writing Compettion
I was one of seven winners from a pool of 5,000,000 student applicants across Canada who won CBC News's storytelling competition, which resulted in us being interviewed by them live in Toronto, as well as casting us for an upcoming reality TV show.

Canada-Wide Science Fair Finalist
In 2025, I was awarded Gold at the Toronto Science Fair for my project on quantum levitation and was subsequently selected to represent Team Toronto at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in New Brunswick.

Conrad Challenge Alternate Finalists
In 2024, our team placed within the top 7 entrants out of over 4,000 in the healthcare category, with me as the team captain and finals being hosted in the Houston Space Center.

World Math Olympiad
For three years in a row, I qualified for the international math competition known as the WMO, representing Team Canada against the Chinese delegation from Beijing. Our team is endorsed by Ontario Premier Doug Ford.

International Model UN Conferences
Over my 6 years as a Model UN delegate, I've accumulated multiple gavels and certificates for my debating. For example, in 2024, I was awarded Best Delegate (12/1,200) at the University of Toronto Model UN Conference and Outstanding Delegate (8/150) at the Havergal College Model UN Conference.

School Key
Due to my exemplary co-curricular contributions at UTS over the past few years, I was one of two recipients out of a student body of over 700 students awarded a plaque with our school key on it.

AIME and CMIMC Qualifications
In 2024, I qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) by scoring a 93 on the AMC 12 B, as well as for our school's Carnegie Mellon Informatics and Mathematics Competition Team (CMIMC).

Ski Team Provincial Championship
As an avid skier for over a decade, I've been a member of my school's Alpine Sports team (skiing and snowboarding) for four years, serving as captain during the last two. In these past few years, our team has won Gold and qualified for the Ontario Provincial Championships (OFSAA) twice.
